The Social Media Literacy for Change MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) empowers school leaders and teachers to cultivate, implement and assess a social media literacy at a whole school level. The free MOOC covers the basics of social media literacy, how to develop a social media literacy strategy, how to implement the strategy and assess its effectiveness (Future Classroom Lab, 2019).

Mirror, Mirror is free a training package for teachers that aims to increase awareness and knowledge of and tools to combat negative body image in schools. Module 5 specifically focuses on media literacy and body image (Appearance Matters and Lifelong Learning Programme, 2012).

Happy Being Me is an evidence-based, free, co-educational program for teachers and trained facilitators. It was developed to reduce body dissatisfaction, and address peer influences on body image. It is delivered over three sessions and covers media literacy, the influence of peers and how to respond to negative peer talk and appearance comparisons (Dunstan et al., 2014; S. Paxton, 2011).

Butterfly provide prevention programs for schools, as well as resources for educators, parents and students around body image, self-esteem and disordered eating. Costs for presentations and workshops vary, and are mapped to the Australian Curriculum. The Body Esteem Educator training covers influences of body image, including media and social media (Butterfly, 2020b, 2020a).
